Description:
- Responsible for accurate billing and collection of hospital receivables
- Works closely with patients to address questions/concerns and ensures proper insurance coverage
- Gives feedback to team leader on ways to improve daily processes and improve collections
- Ensures clean claims and timely follow up with insurance companies
- Ensures exceptional customer service with our patients families
Skills:
Previous experience within hospital billing preferred - 6 months to 1 year of hospital billing experience needed.
Knowledge of insurance carriers and claims follow up.
Previous experience with collections and prior authorizations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Previous knowledge of third party payers to ensure proper collection of insurance data to finalize claims for proper billing to proper payer on first time claim submission
Ability to work with insurance companies to ensure timely payment of claims
