Prominent Health Care Company in the federal way area is seeking a medical coder to join their team! Apply if you have 1-3 years of experience specifically in the medical coding space. Candidates must be located in the Federal way or surrounding area to be considered.
Description:
Primary responsibility is to abstract coding from medical records to obtain the highest level of reimbursement from payers and comply with all state and federal laws. The position will assist in the development of training materials and in training for staff and providers. Responsible for documenting coding patterns and conducting trend analysis. May be assigned to maintain system master files, transmit electronic files, and run and work system reports on claims.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Current CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certificate
Must have prior coding experience (at least 1-3 years) and be open to Coding experience in both general practice and within specialty groups.
Nice to have: Formal training in medical coding with 6 years experience in medical/dental billing, ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPC, and medical terminology and anatomy preferred.
Graduation from an accredited two-year college with a degree in business, accounting, or health information systems,
The employee is responsible for maintaining their CPC and completing all required CEUs to keep certification current.
