What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coder position at Aston Carter?
Description:
As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for ICD 10 Coding, charge capturing for gastro ICD 10 Codes within the system and check them. Review radiology procedures such as ultrasounds, CT scans. Some will be pre-coded. You will review and make sure that it was coded correctly. Coder will also do manual corrections if the coding is wrong. Responsible for fixing coding and doing manual corrections. Also will be going through paper batches. This department is more for surgeries but the department does see everything. Capture GI lab procedures for Endoscopy and colonoscopies. Anything that is gastro related in the small intestine.
