RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pull files post denial coordinator reviewal
Pulls medical records: lots of things can happen, account gets placed back into work flow.
Clinical support assigns to clinician---one lady pulled record and it was 1 page. After it goes to clinician it comes back with notes for team, meaning why Example, clinician may want certain documents on top. It is important for them to check for messages.
22 accounts to do per day. Max of 15 when they starts. They now download clinician letter. This person reviews letter. Clinician wrote wrong hospital--basic review.
They pull record and claim form (every insurance company requires an appeal form and a claim form (always a claim and an ID number) when to have one and not have one is in a reference document what BCBS requires United may not.
Will be working in different systems (medical record systems and patient accounting system)
Gather detail and the candidate will go to stamping machine (pay attention to errors)
50% is pulling medical records 50% is getting appeals out of the door.
Will utilize a stamping machine to send our documentation to clients.
