What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner position at Aston Carter?
Description:
* Sets the vision and priorities for the future of the product and its effectiveness through a product roadmap
* Thorough knowledge of the product and how it can benefit the user
* Create product roadmap inclusive of business objectives and goals that is defined by data and user insights
* Manages the product backlog and support the scrum team in understanding the problem and potential solutions
* Focus on the highest value add items with the least amount of effort
* Deep dive into user behaviors and perception about a product and articulate user needs and expectations for a Feature, and communicated via screenshots, usage examples, mockups
* Ensures work being done directly supports product vision
* Participant in scrum meetings and other scrum ceremonies
* Defining the requirements / user stories and acceptance criteria of a product feature
* Approve work completed by the scrum team to be released into the market when it fulfills the objectives of the feature
* Manage business stakeholders to gather well-defined requirements aligned to business objectives, manage expectations and achieve sign off on deliverables
* Sets expectations for delivery of new features, creates presentations, release notes or demos of new functionality as needed
* Day-to-day collaboration and decision making with cross-functional agile teams
* Performs testing validation of features against customer & business goals and acceptance criteria
* Works closely with leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
* Works with scrum team to align on feature sizing and delivery plans
* Defines and analyzes KPIs agreed upon with stakeholders to benchmark product success and confirm objectives are achieved
* Promote Agile product management processes, stays abreast of new emerging technology capabilities and leverages knowledge in contributing to product solutions

• 8-10 years of experience working within an Agile Development Framework
• Agile / Scrum Certified • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience
• Skilled at negotiating to compromise when stakeholders have competing interests
• Self-starter with the ability to appropriately assess the need for independent decision-making verses leadership escalation
• Ability to react to product adjustments and expectations promptly and efficiently
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Project management skills or previous experience
