Description:
• Manage Quality System, Including Quality Manual, Procedures, Processes, and Policies to meet Government requirements. • Certify and adhere to the ISO 9001:2015 Standard • Review Contracts, NAVY Specifications, to help guide production through requirements. • Interface with Government personnel to include SUBMEPP, DCMA, and SWRMC. • Conduct Management Review with all department heads. • Internally audit Quality Management System, lead internal audit team, and interface with third party external auditors. (LRQA, DCMA, Port of San Diego Repair Association, InspecTesting, and any shipyard or Prime that requires auditing. • Coordinate Government checkpoints and organize and submit pertinent deliverables. • Document, certify, and retain important records, procedures, and processes (including individual job records, calibrated equipment inventory, process/procedure writing and editing, etc.) • Maintain Turn-Back System in Oracle for nonconforming parts and products. • Resolve internal and external performance issues through deductive investigation (aka Corrective Action). • Generate corrective action reports and lead group training sessions to correct discrepancies. • Ensure processes produce quality product. • Consult with engineers regarding technical problems with products and new build requirements. • Visit establishments to for check points and/or to evaluate needs. • Examine and maintain the records of vendors, suppliers, and government agencies. • Issue Overhaul Standards, Test Packets, and other pertinent job information to shop floor. • Organize SUBMEPP data requirements on front and back end of jobs. Interface with SUBMEPP Engineers for any Data Package clarification or corrections. • Interface with DCMA during different phases of overhaul and invoicing. • Ensure products meet NAVY standards, period of performance, and quality without defect. • Verify that materials lists are accurate and that delivery schedules meet project deadlines. • Help to develop timely project schedules with other departments in weekly WIP meeting, where we track and ensure monthly/quarterly/yearly financial numbers are being met or exceeded. • Proceed outside vendors and subcontractors when funding is granted. • Act as liaison between engineering and production departments throughout the overhaul process of new-build compressor units. • Review contracts and solicitations for concurrence and approval. • Quoted parts pricing, lead times, and other bid specifications. • Provide customers with ongoing support. • Invoice Contracts in Wide Area Workflow. • Access CAV to manage San Diego NAVSUP activity. • Must be eligible to work in the US and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
