Summary:
The Recruitment & Retention – Business Development acts as ambassador to Caccia Plumbing employees and prospective employees, providing information and support services at all stages of the employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, orientation, career planning, career development, and transition. This role works with Upper level management in developing strategies to recruit and retain a strong work force and promotes Caccia Plumbing as an employer choice in the community. Additionally, this role builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.
Recruitment and Retention:
• Work with leadership team to build and execute recruitment strategy. Develop and innovative, outside-of-the box recruitment techniques and scale successful models for continued hiring and growth.
• Develop strong presence as employer of choice.
• Build, grow and utilize a customized network of trade, partner, and personal contacts to source and increase referrals to candidate pipeline; build and promote employee, customer, and vendor employee referral programs; create and refine candidate value proposition and company pitch including company’s differentiation from competition and unique culture.
• Track, measure and improve recruitment process through metrics like time to hire, conversion rate of phone screens to interviews, interviews to offers, offers to acceptance; track and assess quality of candidates vs. referral source.
• Periodically review competitors hiring activity, compensation, and benefits for competitive analysis
• Consistently update external job descriptions and identify candidate personas for what good looks like; develop targeted job messaging per category of candidate. Refine interview practices for efficiency, and decision criteria.
• Build and manage relationships with external recruiting placement firms as needed.
• Build out and optimize our applicant tracking system.
• Create working relationship with and advertise job openings at trade schools; evaluate opportunities for recruitment at local community colleges.
• Strengthen the candidate experience through pre-hire to post-hire onboarding; find ways to demonstrate culture that relationships at company are valued, meaningful & respectful at all levels.
• Develop retention-oriented programs to make employee’s experience more personalized to individuals’ life goals, supportive of learning, professional and personal development and dedicated to work-life balance.
• Develop retention-oriented programs that leverage the Caccia University program. Assist Training Manger in performing skills gap analysis to identify current and projected training and hiring requirements.
• Track, measure and improve retention metrics through employee engagement, .
• Organize team building and recruitment events.
Business Development:
• Support leadership team’s strategic priorities regarding people, community, and customer engagement; serve as a company ambassador by evangelize company core values, investment in employees and commitment to customers and community; support and offload leadership team with communications; support, collaborate or plan community events promoting company and brand.
• Develop business relationships with key community leads including city/public works, park & rec, city commerce, fire/police, community organizations, charity/fundraising organizations, churches, schools, neighborhood associations, charity/fundraising organizations, realtors, police/fire, city council, county supervisors, business owners, health, and safety organizations.
• Working closely with CEO and General Manager to assist in development, design, and improvement of firm’s systems and processes.
CEO Support :
• Maintains CEO’s email
• Conserves CEO’s time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; returning voicemails and emails; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.
• Assists CEO with special projects, office expansion, improvements, strategic development.
