What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workforce Coordinator position at Aston Health?
Our Vero Beach locations are seeking Workforce Coordinators to assist with the design and implementation of staffing patters for all staff, as well as assisting in the hew hire process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create new hire offer letters
- Conducts new hire orientations
- Prepares new-employee file
- Completes Form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
- Run exclusions, license checks and criminal background checks
- Employment verifications
- Track status of candidates, frequent follow-ups with candidate regarding pending documents
- Assists with processing of terminations
- Assists with recruitment and interview process
- Files documents into appropriate employee files
- Makes copies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
- Maintains human resource information system (HOSTED)
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
- Establishes staffing patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistants
- Works with human resources to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees
- Interprets human resource policies for nursing staff
- Participates in in-service training
- Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required
- Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action
- Assists in administering the uniform policy for the facility
- Works with the Director of Nursing to schedule training classes
- Assist in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be strong in Excel and Word
• Human Resources Background and Scheduling program experience preferred
• Knowledge of AHCA Regulations required
• Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information
