AstraZeneca's vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm. A broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused on multiple disease states. These therapies are being targeted through four key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates, underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.
The Director Brand Marketing, Lung, will be responsible for the developing and implementing the marketing strategy for mNSCLC indications in the US across all commercial channels and mangaes a team of marketers. You and your team will be charged with developing and driving a robust commercial strategy & plan in collaboration with key cross-functional partners.
This role reports directly into the US Head of Marketing, Lung and will work in close partnership with other members of the cross-functional brand team. This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus (Washington DC Metro area), and will work predominantly on site. Gaithersburg, MD is one of over 400 sites here at AstraZeneca, providing a collaborative environment where everyone feels comfortable and able to be themselves, which is at the core of AstraZeneca's priorities. Main Duties
-
Define and facilitate development of the mNSCLC brand's strategy, promotional plan, programs, and ensure their consistency with the brand ambition.

Collaborates closely and provides strategic direction to cross-functional groups (e.g. Insights, Access, Medical, Sales, Training, Regulatory) for the development and implementation of both strategic and execution plans.

Partner with Global Marketing colleagues to assess gaps and strategic needs to ensure market leadership.

Monitors brand performance and provide indication-specific input into forecasting and expenses.

Develops and delivers key brand presentations to leadership and the field organization.

Participate in the annual operational planning process by shaping the tactical plan and budget required to achieve the brand's stated objectives.

Assess investment viability of programs based on anticipated value/impact and formulate recommendations for future plans based on findings.

Lead partner agency relationships, workflow and related expense budgets

Coaches and develops a team of pharmaceutical marketing professionals.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
-
8 years' experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with a minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing.

Prior in-line HCP marketing experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead team of cross functional and technical members to achieve outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications

Oncology or specialty care experience highly preferred.

People management experience.

Understanding of U.S. Oncology landscape including Community oncology and Hospital oncology dynamics, GPOs, Payer landscape, Specialty Pharmacy partners.

Current relevant US Lung cancer marketing experience.

In-depth Marketing experience (developing brand strategy, performing positioning, messaging, segmentation, targeting, leading ad agency, providing direction on annual budget planning)
