What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Astria Health?
- Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role.
- Education: High school diploma/GED required.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong communication, organization and customer service skills; must be punctual and maintain a good attendance record; ability to multi-task in a high-energy environment; computer experience required especially with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

JOB SUMMARY
Provides secretarial support to the corporate office and organization as needed including but not limited to;
- Welcoming and greeting guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Manage guest management system and direct visitors to the appropriate staff.
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (e.g. pens, forms and brochures).
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (e.g. issue visitor badges).
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
- Answer telephone, screen calls and route them to appropriate staff.
- Take complete and accurate messages, record calls by date, time and person and deliver to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
- Assist in routine assignments and special projects as assigned.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in an office setting and is considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally. Requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires good manual and finger dexterity to operate computers, phones, and handle documents. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
