The Employee Relations Leader works closely with business leaders across the country to drive and implement the Employee Relations strategy for the enterprise. Key qualifications include business acumen, proven experience in all facets of employee and labor relations, development and implementation of positive employee engagement initiatives, and support for overall excellent employee experiences.
As a Sr. Manager, Employee Relations here's what you'll do:
Provide strategic consultation for positive employee/management relations, by identifying and executing objectives and strategies that support the Asurion culture, company direction, and business needs, inclusive of:
Leading the employee relations function while creating growth opportunities and professional development
Formulating and recommending program goals and objectives in all areas of employee relations
Initiating organizational health assessments to identify vulnerabilities to the employee experience, developing an integrated action plan, and supporting leadership through implementation.
Conducting analyses and assessments, preparing reports and advisories, and recommending policies and programs that enrich and promote the integrity of Asurion’s labor relations functions
Educating senior leaders to inform, influence, and enable domestic and international business strategy.
Training front line leaders and other essential partners on the benefits and priorities of sustaining positive employee relations.
Designing and implementing employee relations support & interaction models and programs.
Working closely with all HR Shared Services partners to ensure alignment of delivery model to organizational strategies and business initiatives.
Serving as ER subject matter expert for business and human resources partners, engaging legal department when necessary to ensure effective utilization of internal and external legal resources.
Ensuring the company is aligned with Asurion’s Core Values and in compliance with labor and employment laws.
Staying up to date on changes in employment and labor law, compliance issues and external labor relations climate that may affect the enterprise, line of business or location/site. Communicating these findings to the broader HR community and recommending action or changes to current policy and practice when needed.
Investigating and resolving matters arising from internal sources such as HR partners, business partners, or direct employee contact and external sources such as government agencies.
Must possess a solid understanding of and demonstrated experience with labor relations and employee relations.
Demonstrated ability to translate data and predictive analytics into proactive actions for the organization to prevent or preempt unfavorable employee experience trends.
Strong analytical, project management, initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated flexibility and solution-orientation
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to foster and maintain a strongly collaborative relationship with key institutional stakeholder groups
Demonstrated ability to conduct confidential enterprise-wide investigations on critical employee relations matters and present findings and recommendations to senior executives, as appropriate.
Here's What You'll Bring to the Team::
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or other related discipline
- 5 years of experience in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations and/ or Labor Relations
- Minimum 3 years of heavy emphasis on Employee and Labor Relations
- JD, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Employment Law, and Regulatory Compliance
- Labor relations experience highly preferred to include labor contract negotiations, development of negotiation strategies, contract interpretations, and contract administration.
- Must possess a solid understanding of and demonstrated experience with labor relations and employee relations.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data and predictive analytics into proactive actions for the organization to prevent or preempt unfavorable employee experience trends.

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The budgeted starting salary range for this role, is $100,000 with potential for bonuses.
