Position Overview:
The Senior, Audit and Assurance Services is responsible for being in-charge of engagements and managing projects while keeping them within budget. There are opportunities for training staff, assisting with advisory projects and advancement.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
-Perform in-charge responsibilities for engagements and be able to plan and run a project start to finish
-Supervise and mentor/coach staff assigned to engagements
-Communicate effectively the status of engagements to managers and partners
-Be familiar with and comply with current professional standards
-Responsible for identifying engagement issues, researching solutions and properly documenting conclusions
-Has a broad understanding of client’s business; and interact successfully with the client during the engagement
-Ability to learn and use firm software efficiently and effectively
-Demonstrate a desire and ability to learn business development skills
-Responsible for effective team communication and maintaining a positive environment to foster staff development
-Delegate effectively and assist the team in any way needed to complete assigned projects
-Ability to share ideas with the team to improve efficiency and quality
-Actively pursue completion of CPA exam if not already completed
-Maintain required CPE needed to perform engagements in industries assigned
-Identifies client’s needs/opportunities for additional products or services.
-Other duties as needed or required.
Education:
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience
Masters preferred
CPA preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in public accounting
2-4 years experience in audit and assurance preferred
Working Conditions
Normal office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
This position may require extra hours or weekend work depending on workflow and busy season demands
This job includes working with a supportive team of professionals.
Must be flexible, as work may be performed in office, remote or at a client’s business depending on the engagement and situation
