We’re looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join our diverse group of passionate problem solvers. Work with us to build innovative products and services that help the healthcare system work as it should. The Opportunity. In this role, you will help lead the UX on one of our award-winning products, athenaCollector, our medical practice revenue cycle management solution. In this role you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and directly with end users to define, design and test workflows and other experiences. The ideal candidate. You’re a talented, innovative, and strategic designer, motivated to make a difference in healthcare. You love digging into meaty, complex problems, and finding ways to drive incremental improvements, moving towards a long-term vision. You bring curiosity, empathy, and a sense of humor to everything you do. **This role is based out of our new Boston Landing location. We offer a hybrid work environment which involves employees based out of this location to be in the office 1 day per week at a minimum**    Job Responsibilities  Conduct primary and secondary research efforts   Design scalable, web-based product experiences   Produce detailed designs and specifications for team projects   Identify opportunities for improvement in existing products   Seek out and incorporate feedback from users and cross-functional teams   Promote and demonstrate design best practices for product owners, engineers, and more junior design collaborators  Proactively seek out and foster relationships and connections across scrum teams to support cohesion and consistency throughout the user’s experience      Qualifications  Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Business, or related disciplines 4-5 years of professional experience working in digital design, B2B software a plus Solid capability in UX creative and design techniques Experience facilitating and summarizing user research as part of field studies and in-person or remote evaluative testing Understand how to work within agile development process for the design, development, and delivery of software Strong verbal and written communication skills     Portfolio demonstrating good systems thinking, great interaction design skills, and attention to detail  About athenahealth Here’s our vision: To create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.  What’s unique about our locations?
