Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist. This person will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level at our Allendale, SC facility. This role will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training and development, onboarding, policy implementation and enforcement and employment law compliance. The role will also act as a liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
What you’ll do:
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program and writes and places advertisements.
- Consult with managers and supervisors on absenteeism, turnover and workforce data and take actions where necessary. Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems
- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
- Administer benefits and performance management systems, as well as safety programs
- Develops and maintain affirmative action program; prepare EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Maintain and process payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Maintain human resource information system (UKG) records and compile reports from the database.
- Coordinate employee appreciation, recognition, engagement, and volunteer events/programs
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual abilities, both written and verbal, are strongly preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with UKG is a plus
- PHR or SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Responsive nature with strong sense of urgency to handle matters quickly
- Detail orientated with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to manage time and multiple tasks/priorities
- General knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL and other related Federal & State laws
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to effectively problem solve; ability to understand and analyze data to make decisions
