Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for an Inside Sales Manager for our Construction & Prewired Services business located in Addison, IL. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales for Construction & Prewired Services, the Inside Sales Manager’s primary focus will be driving the strategic business unit’s strategic commercial activities to successful budget and goal attainment.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with the territory’s Agents to drive, administer and enforce the pricing strategy and guidelines as developed by the VP of Sales.
- Proactively manage agents and grow business nationally by identifying key customers and developing them to a product category mix in line with Growth, SDP and initiatives. Execute and track utilizing Action Plan.
- Maximize volume and margin using available tools, negotiations and analytical skills in line with the strategic focus and plan.
- Drive and support Corporate and Business Unit Strategic Initiatives.
- Prepare customer quotations and conduct follow up in a timely manner.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred
- Minimum of 5 years sales and/or related electrical industry experience
- Demonstrated successful marketplace track record working with the electrical distribution channel
- Excellent Organization, Writing, Communication, Negotiating, Presentation and Analytical Skills
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of Windows Applications: Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word. Knowledge of Salesforce.com, JD Edwards platform and Tableau is a plus.
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Complete your Atkore immersion program.
- Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
- Gain an understanding of your team.
- Gain an understanding of the market you support
Within 6-months, you’ll:
- Coordinate and share market feedback, intelligence, and data points with other inside sales team managers, as well as the VP of Sales.
- Attend and present at weekly pricing review meetings scheduled by the National Director of Sales and including the Outside Sales RVP’s as well as the VP/GM and President.
- Interact closely with Atkore RVP’s, RSM’s, TSM’s and Sales Leads to maximize market opportunities.
Within 12-months, you’ll:
- Participate in annual budget planning as it applies to sales and inventory needs.
- Participate in regular meetings with the VP of Sales and the rest of the team relative to forecast changes and spread pressures impacting any existing budget and/or current forecast.
- Manage, channel and direct various requests that occur in the course of business such as literature, technical and inventory inquiries.
- Keep accurate records relative to quotation history, long term quotes, multiple release orders and price sheet maintenance.
- Travel to support strong agent and customer relationships.

Salary : $68,300 - $86,500
