What You'll Do
- Follow client-provided protocols for application of hard surface cleaners to glass slides; apply various conditions as required.
- Perform extraction from glass slides in preparation for HPLC analysis.
- Preparation of internal standards for HPLC.
- Possible loading of samples for HPLC analysis, selecting a sequence, and initiating analysis – to be handed off to the client for any further technical assistance/downstream steps.
- Utilize Electronic Notebook System to capture work.
- Completion of all safety training, method training, equipment trainings etc. as required.
- Ability to react to change, while managing other essential tasks and responsibilities.
- Provide a clear & productive communication pathway with the client and ATL Onsite Manager.
- Willingness to work with other ATL colleagues or client employees in the lab – to lend a hand during down time and work well as part of a team.
- Lab maintenance as necessary, including stocking of consumable materials, proper storage of research materials, and organization of lab reagents.
- Utilize safe waste disposal practices in accordance with site regulations and waste vendor.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related life science field preferred but not required
- 6 months of industry experience in a laboratory or research setting
- Experience with sample preparation including extraction and HPLC preferred
- General familiarity of HPLC instrumentation preferred
- Basic understanding of electronic note booking
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn instrument-based software
- Team Player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile laboratory environment
