Lewa America, Inc. is a seeking a SHEQ Coordinator to join our team!

Summary:

To assist in the implementation and maintenance of safety, health, environmental, and quality, management systems, as required by LEWA America, Inc. and in accordance with the International Standards Organization (ISO). This role will aid in the development of facility leaders and stakeholders in their understanding of the requirements and value of established risk management systems. The SHEQ Coordinator will act as the primary liaison between LEWA America, Inc and customers while developing ownership of the ISO certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all facets of quality management system administration, including maintenance of site ISO registration, policy & procedure implementation, internal audits, corrective actions, and quality software system administration.
• Develops and implements Health, Safety & Security policies, and procedures in compliance with Group, local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
• Ensure customer certification requirements are met in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Manage corrective and preventive action system, performance tracking and problem resolution with effectiveness checks.
• Develop and coordinate implementation of continual improvement programs.
• Administer the site's management system requirements while acting as champion and driving continual improvement of the site's environmental performance.
• Accountable for site's occupational health and safety management system as Safety Coordinator.
• Assist with customer safety compliance platforms.
• Plans, writes, delivers, and manages quality, environmental, and health and safety training programs for site employees.
• Create a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.
• Maintain the site's plan for disaster response.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Inspects and audits facility activities to detect QMS compliance as well as existing or potential accident and health hazards to ensure gaps are closed.
• Provides Quality Engineering support to suppliers including audits/assessments, inspection technique support, Risk Management, CAPA and change management.

Required Experience & Knowledge:

• Four-year college degree or Associate degree and equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of integrated management systems and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certification requirements.
• Minimum two years work experience in Health and Safety in accordance with a manufacturing and/or repair environment.
• Ability to participate in day-to-day business, frequent interaction with other departments.
• Experience with analyzing trends, assessing processes, and providing recommendations with follow-up actions.
• Promotes team environment for problem solving.

Preferred Skill and Experience:

• Safety Professional accreditation and HSE auditing accreditation would be beneficial.
• Experience supporting multiple facilities preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and influence an organization to achieve safe practices and compliance Understanding of engineered to order execution is a plus.
