About the Position :

The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for maintaining assigned areas and minor general maintenance in the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Perform housekeeping duties throughout facility, including :

Vacuuming

Dusting

Supply replenishment

Sweeping

Trash removal-From offices, bathrooms, and production floor

Trash pick-up and maintain outside grounds

Inclement weather maintenance

Operate the baler

Load trash into dumpsters / recycling containers

Complete appropriate inspection and cleaning documentation

Minor General Maintenance :

Paint offices, warehouses and hallways using water base and oil base paint

Filter replacement and cleaning

Ceiling Tile cleaning and replacement as necessary

Qualifications :

Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :

High school education or GED; and / or up to one-year related experience or training.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisor and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; bend;

sit; repetitive motion with use of hands and fingers, touch, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Hours : Monday-Thursday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM and Friday, 4 : 00 AM to 12 : 30 PM

Wage : $14.00 / hr.
