Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Environmental Staff Professional for Environmental Division projects with willingness to cross train between departments. (Geotechnical/Construction Material Testing)
Perform Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Phase I site reconnaissance and identify potential Recognized Environmental Conditions with photographic and written documentation.
Prepare written sections of ESA Reports, as needed.
Perform Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Phase II, field boring layout, drilling, and field activities.
Collect and document environmental soil & water samples.
Knowledgeable on State and Federal Environmental regulatory requirements
Perform geotechnical site clearance oversight, field boring layout, drilling oversight, and field activities logging and perform site reconnaissance.
Prepare and/or distribute boring logs, boring plans and other critical reports under the supervision of a senior engineer.
May assist with or conduct Construction Materials Testing services.
Assist in the preparation of proposals for geotechnical, CMT and environmental services.
Represent the company at professional and/or client meetings.
Experience conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessment preferred, but not required.
May be required to work off-hours and weekends, and travel in state (20%) and out of state may be required.
Must possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills to be successful in this role.
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. or B.A. in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or Building Science/Construction Management or Similar Degree with 0-10 years experience
Ability to obtain Professional Engineer/Geologist, CHMM, LEED, or CIH registration preferred
Technical Requirements:
Ability to use Microsoft suite
Ability to quickly learn how to use additional software/online applications

Have or willing to obtain Asbestos Building Inspector certification, Asbestos Contractor Supervisor certification, Lead Paint Inspector or Risk Assessor certification preferred, 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, and maintain certifications for the duration of your employment with Atlas .
