The Information Technology team at Atlas Van Lines is looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to join us as a Database Administrator! Under limited supervision, the DBA is a mid-level, professional role that is responsible for designing, installing, monitoring, maintaining, and performance tuning on-premises and cloud databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual will routinely review existing code, stored procedures, database structure & design, and data integrity. The incumbent will act in a proactive manner as well as responding to immediate problems.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor proactively the performance of on-premises and cloud databases and implement efficiency improvements.
- Participate in indexing, execution plan and code reviews of new and existing ETL jobs, store procedures, ingestion pipelines to optimize performance.
- Perform database server upgrades and migrations, while monitoring and improving database performances.
- Provide assessments of data integrity, high availability, data security, and privacy.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
- Work with developers and other team members to review designs, database structures, implementation plans, and enhancements of active applications, scripts, and procedures.
- Work to triage and solve database issues, drive incidents until resolution and employ measures to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in the evaluation of new database tools and in the testing of new and updated modules & systems prior to moving into QA and production.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Technical Experience You’ll Need
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL database, Azure data warehouse, Azure Data Lake, blob storage and Azure Data factory.
- Knowledge of Backup/Recovery, Security & Encryption, Data Archival and Data masking
- Familiarity with Datawarehouse design and data modeling.
Requirements to be Successful
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field
- 2-4 years job-related experience

Salary : $59,100 - $74,800
