We are looking for applicants who are at least 21 years of age, have a current driver’s license and a good driving record, show steady employment history and can pass a comprehensive background check that includes a criminal history check. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of valuables to ATM Response customers, as well as the loading and balancing of ATM machines along your route.
The essential functions of this position are:
Armed Service Technicians will be responsible for the servicing and re-supply of ATM machines, including replenishing currency, retrieving deposits and monetarily balancing the machine. The job will involve driving an armored vehicle, handling currency pickups and deliveries.
- Operate armored trucks in a safe manner, abiding by all federal, state, local and company regulations.
- Deliver valuables to customers (banks, retail stores, restaurants, etc.). Interact with customers, representing the company in accordance with company standards, maintaining proper conduct, appearance (uniforms), personal hygiene, etc.
- Complete paperwork accurately and in accordance and in accordance with procedures.
- Maintain a security awareness at all times, whether driving a vehicle and watching for the technician or outside of the vehicle delivering shipments to the customer.
- Receive shipments and cargo at the beginning of the shift and check-in cargo and shipments at the end of the shift to the vault, ensuring the balancing of the receipts.
- Perform necessary first line maintenance on the vehicle at the beginning and/or end of the shift.
- May operate runs/routes dedicated to specific needs, i.e. Federal Reserve, etc.
- Other duties may be required.
The minimum Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, and/or Abilities required to perform this job are:
- Be at least 21 years of age, per Department of Transportation regulations.
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License and maintain current license with a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain a gun permit and be licensed by the state as an armed security officer, where necessary. (A criminal conviction may prevent issuance of a gun permit.)
- Experience in the security field and/or transportation as a driver is preferred.
- Must be able to qualify for any other work-related permits required by the branch, such as Airport pass, Federal Reserve access, etc.
- Applicants must be able to read, write and communicate the English language and perform basic math skills. Must have good communication skills and be able to communicate with customers and communicate with team
- Must be able to use a "smartphone" to upload PDFs if necessary
The Armored Service Technician job duties require the following physical abilities:
- Carry a minimum of 50 pounds by hand up to several hundred yards by cart
- Loading/unloading cargo consisting of multiple bags and boxes of coin
- Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out
- Carry or lift a bag of coins three to five feet, weighing 30-50 pounds a bag, several dozen times daily and carry bags from the vehicle to a customer or back.
- Must be able to step in and out of an armored truck 40-70 times per day.
- Verbally communicate with customers
- Record information on forms and reports
- Must be 21 years of age and must pass a comprehensive background check
This person will be responsible for the safe delivery and pick-up of customer valuables and/or cargo via armored truck transportation.
Past and Present Military are encouraged to apply. Military experience is preferred.
