Cox Talent Acquisition (CTA) is responsible for providing best-in-class talent acquisition consultation and recruiting service delivery in a shared services organization spanning all Cox companies. CLIENT & STRATEGY
- Serve as a trusted business partner to hiring leaders by developing talent acquisition plans and solutions to achieve short-term talent needs and long-term business growth:
- Drive hiring manager experience by proactively consulting on industry, market, and/or role-specific factors impacting the planned TA vision/outlook and translating that information into requisition-specific playbooks designed to optimize success
- Counsel hiring managers on innovative TA practices and hiring decisions as their day-to-day requisition management subject matter expert
- Manage the end-to-end hiring manager experience, including but not limited to: 1) understanding the business unit needs and expectations; 2) ensuring quality requisition initiation; 3) informing and mobilizing functional TA unit assigned to the requisition; 4) actively informing hiring managers of requisition status and the candidate pipelines; 5) communicating priorities, considerations, and risks/issues that arise throughout requisition life-cycle and developing effective action plans; 6) reviewing service delivery results
- Balance the customization of individual requisition solutions with the alignment of TA vision and the adherence to consistent CTA practices
- Develop and employ effective communication mechanisms/routines designed to fortify hiring manager partnerships and maximize information exchange
- Embed relevant talent management practices, compliance requirements, and diversity & inclusion strategies within requisition delivery strategies and activities
TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Serve as a member of the CTA team by role modeling the vision of the team, the values of the company, and the focus on CTA’s best-in-class status:
- Act as a day-to-day liaison with CTA Leadership, Candidate Management, Pipeline Management, and Logistics Management to ensure continuous alignment between Requisition Delivery and overall TA strategies and processes
- Collaborate across Candidate Management, Pipeline Management, and Logistics Management to: 1) share requisition strategies and playbooks with internal team members contributing to the fulling the requisition; 2) escalate any changing requisition priorities and the impact of those changes; 3) understand special hiring manager needs/requests and set expectations accordingly; 5) identify, escalate, and resolve any risks that may impact success
- Actively enhance skills and abilities within requisition delivery by developing a strong understanding of business unit talent strategies and culture, developing strong domain knowledge in assigned area, and understanding TA strengths and challenges in assigned areas
- Utilize available tools and resources to collect, maintain, and share talent data across CTA and enhance the hiring manager experience throughout the requisition lifecycle
- Drive operational improvements and team engagement through transparency, ownership, and collaboration
- Network with internally and externally to stay abreast of trending and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of full life-cycle, recruiting, which may include one or more of the following: sourcing, qualifying, networking, compliance, reporting, and relationship management.
- Experience recruiting in a professional, corporate, or staffing environment
- Experience working directly with clients, ensuring their business needs are met in a professional and timely manner
- Experience with behavioral interviewing techniques
- Experience providing consultative guidance and recommendations to clients
- Experience handling difficult situations with tact and sensitivity
- A strong customer service focus as well as impeccable engagement, follow-through, and adaptability with internal customers
- Ability to manage sensitive and/or confidential information
- Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload in a constantly changing environment to meet daily
Preferred Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired
- HR Certification(s) (ex: AIRS) a plus
- Knowledge and working experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Taleo, Brass Ring, eRecruit, etc.)
- Business acumen and management of talent acquisition metrics
- Industry and functional domain area knowledge relevant to the business areas supported
- Strong sourcing skills
