Director of Operations
The successful candidate will be responsible manage the Gilbert Operations organization while instilling processes, metrics and controls. The Director of Operations will manage an organization that encompasses Supply Chain, Quality, Supplier Management, Inventory, Shipping/Receiving, and Facilities while maintaining/maturing/creating processes such as SIOP, Lean, Kaizen, and revenue controls. The products are relative to the C4ISR Systems and Air Delivery Systems. The Director of Operations will have key interfaces with the site leadership, Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, Government Agencies, Customers (CONUS and OCONUS), and suppliers. This is a hands-on position. Factory ranges from large vehicle or trailered systems to PCBA and electro/mechanical systems.
Key/Core Qualifications:
- Experience as a Director of Operations
- Experience in military and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
- Experience managing revenue and delivery forecasts for the business relative to the delivery cycle
- Shown skills at balancing cost and schedule performance
- Experience with reporting metrics, performance, and plans to upper management
- Experience with strategically planning outsource Contract Manufacturers and building effective relationships with suppliers
- Experience with Quality initiatives, lean principles, ERP systems, supply chain, contract negotiations, and a global supply base.
- Experience with a diverse factory (large vehicle/trailer systems to PCBA and CNC)
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency
- Understanding of ERP systems
- Experience with supplier negotiations and contracts
- Experience with AS/ISO 9100
- Manages to schedules and metrics
- Business Degree, BS Engineering, or equivalent
- 10 years of experience formally managing a supply chain organization, managing Contract Manufactures, and/or a Quality organization
- Must be a U.S. citizen with or with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience managing by metrics
- Experience with SIOP, ERP systems, Inventory systems
- Experience building supplier relationships while maturing the supply base
- Experience interfacing with the factory and a Repair & Overhaul organization to support sustaining products or New Product Introduction
- Experience with subcontract supplier management
- Ability to create, implement, and/or modify processes
- Experience with customer, industry, and government audits
- Experience with Contracts, Terms and Conditions, etc
- Must be a U.S. citizen with or with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
