Die Polisher
Seeking a Die Polisher for a manufacturing company in Henderson. Perform skilled level work in the die production area, polishing dies for use in the manufacturing process. Assist tooling personnel as necessary in order to maintain Company’s production capabilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Polishing dies as directed to ensure timely manufacturing of product to customer specifications.
- Finishing to a mirror finish.
- Good hand-eye coordination to cut out complex designs and shapes.
- Interprets die finishes from artwork models and pictures.
- Able to apply textures and finishes using various tools, machinery and abrasive materials.
- Understands basic principles of heat-treating metals.
- Specific vision: including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Repetitive motion with hands and wrists.
- Measures work carefully by using precision tools.
- Uses, adjusts, cleans, and stores the tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Ability to demonstrate predictable, reliable and timely attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to perform repetitive work with hands and wrists.
- Lifting objects up to 50 pounds may be required.
- Must be able to stand, bend and kneel continually while performing tasks.
- Ability to read, write and interpret artwork instructions.
- Must be able to operate basic computer functions.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and remain focused at all times.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team; interact appropriately with others.
- Ability to be read, write and communicate effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous die polishing experience preferred.
- Two years related experience or certification in field.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Pay: $18/hr (during training)
$20/hr (once trained)
