What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Manager/Behavioral Health position at Auburn Community Hospital?
The Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health will plan, direct, and supervise nursing practice on unit utilizing evidence based practices in the nursing process. Assume responsibility for unit and unit management twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Attain and maintain clinical practice competency in particular practice area; utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills; plan and supervise educational needs of the unit with In-service / Staff Development and participate in requested Nursing Administrative responsibilities.
Current NYS RN license required. Three (3) to five (5) years psychiatric acute care experience. Bachelors degree preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability. Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
