JOB DESCRIPTION: Main Office Branch Administrator
WAGE CLASSIFICATION: Grade 11 / Exempt
REPORTS TO: AVP Branch Administrator/IRA Specialist
SUPERVISES: Main Office, Super Six Tellers and Corner Village, Customer Service Representatives, Branch Specialists
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the coordination and administration of the Main Office Branch, Super Six and Corner Village Branch operations employees.
SUPERVISORY
Supervises the work of the Main Office, Super Six Tellers, Corner Village and the Customer Service Representatives and Branch Specialists. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these directly reporting employees, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include decision making and/or making recommendations on interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Make recommendations to management for policy changes related to area of responsibility. Interpret bank policies to branch operations personnel.
EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Five or more years cash handling experience required
- Prior supervisory experience required (3-5 years preferred)
- Must have 5 or more years prior branch/operations experience
FINANCES
- Has the responsibility to make recommendations to supervisor concerning the budgetary needs of the department
ORGANIZATION
- Has an inherent responsibility to make recommendations to supervisor concerning possible methods to improve department
RELATIONSHIPS
- Responsible to the Branch Operations Administrator for the fulfillment of functions, responsibilities and authority and for their proper interpretation
- Will have extensive contact with customers and the public and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank
- Will be called upon occasionally to participate with community organizations and in community projects
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE SKILLS, DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct, administer, and coordinate the activities of the branch in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the Board of Directors.
- Assist with developing and installing procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.
- Direct and coordinate human resource activities for branch operations employees such as: submitting payroll information, completing performance evaluations, work scheduling, training, updating job descriptions, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensure all branch operations staff are properly trained on their job duties.
- Work closely with the Branch Operations Administrator Officer in coordinating and relaying of policies and procedures to branch operations employees.
- Guide and direct branch operations personnel in the promotion and sale of the bank’s products and services
- Ensures that written security procedures are adhered to in the safekeeping of all currency, negotiable securities, and similar valuables at all times and ensures that vaults and security equipment are in proper working order
- Ensure that quality customer service is provided to the customers of the bank
- Make budget recommendations and assist Branch Operations Administrator Officer in the budgeting process for the branch.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend staff meetings/conferences/webinars as needed.

- Current knowledge of and ability to follow policies, procedures and rules of AuburnBank
- Knowledge of bank procedures relating to receiving and paying out money
- Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance; including , but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks where applicable.
- Must be able to communicate in person or by phone and work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, customers, vendors, and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work
