The Brand Manager oversees music strategy with an eye towards audience and revenue growth and engagement on all platforms. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage a diverse, energetic programming and digital team
- Set and implement brand strategy to guide the programming, digital and promotion departments
- On Air shift to be determined
- Recruit, direct and coach talent to maintain a culture of excellence and integrity
- Develop and direct execution of station imaging on air and visually online
- Work with Market Manager, VP Programming and sales teams on developing sales packages and innovative revenue opportunities
- Collaborate with Audacy Classic Rock brands to optimize sharing and distribution of best programming and digital content
- Cultivate events and other public initiatives to raise awareness and profile of the WKBU brand in local community
- Lead team to ideate new opportunities that engage new and existing audience on multi-platforms beyond OTA to solidify the brand’s strength
- Interpret Nielsen data and other audience analytics and research to guide programming and editorial content decisions and audience development tactics
- Set clear goals and KPIs and appraise individual and team performance
- Ensure brand compliance with FCC regulations and Audacy programming standards
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of experience managing a team of dedicated and passionate staff members
- Demonstrated record of innovation and experimentation in the classic rock realm
- Experience managing, coaching and mentoring talent
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with sales and business teams on revenue generation
- Command of Nielsen data and digital analytics
- Understanding of the New Orleans market and competitive landscape
- Adept at use of Social Media to augment station brand to drive listening and audience engagement
- A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
