What are the responsibilities and job description for the MSP IT Help Desk Technician I position at Audian, Inc.?
Title: IT Technician
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an absolute monster of an IT technician. This person must be passionate about technology, a great people person, and someone who is willing and ready to jump into a fast-paced environment where you are helping many clients, monitoring for security and always busy. If you are looking to kick back and put your feet up, don’t come here! We work hard, we play hard, and ultimately, we live by our three mantras of Simplicity, Speed and Service.
Who are we?
We are a tight-knit group of passionate individuals that truly love telecom, IT and Networking. We are an established company with great growth and revenue which means you are applying to work at a place that has great benefits and stability, while also having a small company feel. You will interact with everyone from the CEO to the interns and really (truly!) have a say in what we do as a company. Our principles are Simplicity, Speed and Service and we are looking for someone that truly embodies those ideals. Most of our employees have 4-5 years of tenure with the company, and we all really enjoy working together.
An IT Technician is a role that means you will be on the front lines helping clients calling in for everything from printer problems, to O365 email setups, to antivirus alerts and everything else. You will be using our RMM/PSA solution to track tickets, login, chat with clients and email. Additionally there is networking to look at, WiFi changes and fixes, and firewall finagling. It is a lot of fun!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a ticket queue hero that slays tickets with abandon and has an obsessive need to close them – all while keeping our clients happy and functioning.
- Occasional on-site support where you will be helping with anything we can’t do online.
- Proactive checking on RMM alerts and monitoring – sleuthing for anything that could go wrong!
- Windows and windows server background and experience a must.
- Network certification helpful.
- Documentation support and ability to update our Knowledge Base with new information about processes or add new as required.
**TL;DR - At the end of the day, we need someone that can be a ticket destroying IT superhero. More importantly, you need to have excellent skills when talking to clients, have a burning desire to learn new things and improve yourself, and always want to be looking around the corner to see what else you can be doing to protect our clients. You should be comfortable going out in the field and interacting with customers and basically “Getting the job done.” You will need to be extraordinarily self-sufficient and good at working with new technology and with clients and have excellent organization. Passion is key!

FAQ's
- Is this a Remote Work Position? Yes - generally one day in office required per week after training.
- What do you mean by "Travel"? Generally driving to client sites that are nearby, although once in a blue moon you may need to fly to a client site or stay overnight at a distant location.
