Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data teams to understand their data needs and determine visualization requirements.
- Design and implement innovative and informative visualizations based on understanding of data sets and user needs.
- Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar to create dashboards, reports, and dynamic visual interfaces.
- Ensure visualizations effectively convey clear, direct, and actionable insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain and refine the performance of visualization tools and platforms to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Conduct user training and support for deployed visualization tools.
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization to keep our visualizations innovative and fresh.
- Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure accuracy and accessibility of data used in visualizations.
- Provide expertise in visual storytelling to enhance presentation and communication of data insights.
- Document and communicate standards, guidelines, and best practices for data visualization.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data visualization or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous work with data visualization tools.
- Proficiency with visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for aesthetic design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of SQL and databases is preferred.
- Familiarity with data analysis workflows and data manipulation.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
