- Portfolio Strategy: Develop and implement portfolio management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Define portfolio priorities, investment criteria, and performance metrics to optimize portfolio value and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Portfolio Governance: Establish and maintain portfolio governance structures, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational standards, industry regulations, and best practices. Define roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes for portfolio management.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, project sponsors, business unit leaders, and other relevant stakeholders. Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate portfolio objectives and performance, and facilitate collaboration and alignment.
- Portfolio Planning: Lead the development and execution of portfolio plans, including portfolio roadmaps, resource allocation, and investment prioritization. Collaborate with project and program managers to ensure alignment of individual projects and programs with portfolio goals.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation across the portfolio to maximize value and strategic alignment. Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and other assets, based on portfolio priorities, capacity, and demand.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio-level risks and issues. Develop risk management strategies, monitor risk indicators, and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of risks on portfolio performance and objectives.
- Financial Management: Manage portfolio budgets, track expenses, and monitor financial performance against portfolio forecasts. Identify variances, analyze financial data, and implement corrective actions to ensure portfolios are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor portfolio performance and value delivery. Track portfolio performance against established metrics, analyze performance trends, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Portfolio Optimization: Continuously evaluate portfolio performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive initiatives to improve portfolio efficiency, effectiveness, and value delivery. Make strategic recommendations for portfolio adjustments and realignment as needed.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular portfolio status reports, presentations, and updates for executive leadership and stakeholders. Communicate portfolio objectives, performance, and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or related roles, with a proven track record of successfully managing portfolios of projects and programs in a dynamic environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead teams towards achieving portfolio objectives. Experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to align portfolio objectives with organizational goals, anticipate future needs, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Experience developing and implementing portfolio management strategies.
