What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Account Executive position at Aureon?

The Senior Account Executive will focus on Aureon’s Connectivity business, specifically focused on significant revenue and relationships within our current Clients, prospecting, and creating new business. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate, build relationships and collaborate both internally and externally.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operating as the lead point for contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting Client relationships
  • Overseeing Client account management, including negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximize profit.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to Client needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing Clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Prepare reports on account status.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
  • Assist with challenging Client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Meet or exceed sales quota targets for all products and services individually.
  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective Clients.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and Client relationships.
  • Grow account base and reduce churn through strategic consulting efforts to empower current and potential Clients with effective solutions, products, and services.
  • Outreach to new leads, develop cross-sale and upsell opportunities individually and within sales teams.
  • Resolve Client complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Participate in cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs and the needs of the company.
  • Distribute promotional material, respond to customers’ queries and comments on social media, and networking during social events.
  • Drive the sales process by identifying target markets, industries, and contacts.
  • Generate leads by building and maintaining relationships in the marketplace and IT communities by participating in weekly community events.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to create effective business flow proposals, aligned with sales needs.
    • Build an extensive network through referrals, prospecting phone calls, industry events and peers.
    • Ensure a positive Client service process by overseeing all phases of the sales cycle and client journey, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly wellness checks and solicit referrals.
    • Effectively close deals through conversations, negotiations, proposals, and demonstrations
    • Ensure daily activity is documented within CRM, and other reports, as necessary.
    • Facilitate necessary meetings, training, mentorship, interviews, and additional actions.
    • Perform additional and other duties related to the position as assigned.

     

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

    • Degree in business, communication, marketing, or related field
    • Repeated demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
    • 5 years previous experience in telecommunication industry sales
    • 2 years leadership experience

    • Strategic thinking and the ability to accurately estimate the stage and close dates for business/sales opportunities.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
    • Ability to make sound decisions using the information at hand.
    • Strong trouble resolution and critical thinking skills
    • Confident when presenting technical information to clients and key stakeholders.
    • Deadline-driven with the ability to multi-task and manage change within a demanding environment.
    • Knowledgeable of sales level complex services and promotions
    • Expert in network building, negotiation, and issue resolution skills
    • Analytical thinker with the ability to manage and foster change.
    • Coachable with an ambitious spirit and an aptitude to learn the product suite.
    • History of working well under pressure within a dynamic, challenging environment
    • Experience selling various verticals.
    • Able to work independently and remotely to identify and cultivate market opportunities.

     

    TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE

    • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM solution
    • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

                        

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Primarily indoor work primarily in office environments
    • Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record
    • Travel up to 75% in region required with 4-5 overnights per month. 
    • Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of computer screen
    • No unusual physical requirements
