Millwright/Fabricator
The Millwright/Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating and assembling miscellaneous metals and must be able to work from blueprints, plans, and specs.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to Tig weld.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs industrial mechanical equipment.
- Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
- Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors systems, brakes, clutches, and other such devices.
- Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets, and a variety of other machine parts.
- Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, and various mechanical equipment as necessary following standard operating procedures.
- Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Fabricates custom projects including metal foundations, frames, brackets, piping, and other miscellaneous items to suit project requirements.
- Designs and constructs templates and fixtures.
- Develops layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of geometry, stock allowances for thickness, machining, welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.
- Locates and marks bending lines, drill centers and cutting lines onto work piece.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.
- Operates grinders, mag-drills, band saws, drill presses, shears, press brakes, and various portable hand tools.
- Operate various types of welding machines and supporting hand tools.
- Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications, using square, ruler, and measuring tape.
- Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products.
- Welds stainless steel, carbon steel, and possibly other alloys in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; work at heights; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Education – no minimum education requirements.
Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.

This is a fulltime maintenance opportunity working 40 hour a week. There is no per diem and no relocation funding.
