Autocam Medical is a global contract manufacturer of orthopedic implants, spinal implants, precision instruments and orthopedic cutting tools. We offer a value-added approach to high-precision manufacturing, with specialties in CNC milling, turning and cutter grinding.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Account Manager will develop and execute Autocam Medical Devices (AMD) growth strategy with our key customers. The Account Manager is also responsible for reinforcing a solid and trusting relationship between these key customers and AMD. The Account Manager will lead business development and sales-related activity, serving as the lead point of contact related to all aspects of the relationship, customer satisfaction, and contracting. The Account Manager will also drive awareness of our customers’ business structure and develop strategies to ensure AMD is focused on growth in new programs, as well as market share gains from existing relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Drive profitable sales growth through conversion, penetration, and retention strategies with customer base.
- Develop and maintain detailed analysis of our customers’ market strategy, supply chain structure, and product development center.
- Direct all customer activity for maintenance of existing business and growth of sales across existing products and new product opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the customer organization to ensure the customer’s needs are met.
- Identify new programs and leads engineering activity to include process development, quality, and program management.
- Prospect within the key accounts to facilitate a deep understanding of customer needs from R&D through production.
- Work with AMD manufacturing and sales teams to ensure excellent customer service and communication.
- Prepare presentations for customers tailored to their needs. Effectively leads customer meetings and various communications.
- Engage regularly with customer contacts or prospects at their places of business, or at other mutually agreed locations. Contacts away from AMD facilities are normally expected to take place on a weekly basis.
- Plan, prepare and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with plant, executive team members, and various stakeholders within the organization.
- Create and update forecasts on an ongoing basis.
- Create and develop strategic account plans and actionable objectives for each account on a quarterly and annual basis to meet customer and company objectives.
- Negotiate contracts with the customers.
- Generate and maintain pipeline opportunities to ensure business objectives and sales goals are met.
- Work with Marketing Analyst to understand market trends by industry and customer.
- Proactively seek to understand customer needs and how AMD’s solutions and service can support those needs.
- Attend and participate in industry tradeshows and conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%).
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Goal-oriented, organized team player.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Proficient with Office suite products.
- Proficient with a CRM, preferably Dynamics or Salesforce.
- The ability to handle complex issues in a professional and calm manner.
- Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through on customer contracts.
- Comfortable providing regular business updates to the Executive Management team.
- Proven results of delivering customer solutions and meeting sales goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sales, or relevant field is required.
- 5 years of technical sales experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 4 years of previous work experience in sales, management, or strategic account management.
