Community Engagement Specialist, AEC

Job Requisition ID # 22WD61770 Position Overview The Community Engagement Specialist for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries will join the Audience Insights Marketing team participating in discussions with communities within and outside of the Autodesk ecosystem, helping to develop a social media strategy, and reporting on community sentiment. The ideal candidate can naturally connect to AEC customers, has strong writing skills, and understands best practices when it comes to engaging with and supporting customers in a virtual space. The candidate must have experience with an extensive knowledge of our software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM Collaborate Pro, bringing empathy, authenticity, and technical credibility to our content and interactions with the community. For the context of this role, community is anyone working, dabbling, or curious about technology solutions for architects; they can be students, about to start their career, a few years into their first role, or industry veterans. The community that we engage with encompasses social media (our own channels, as well as others outside of Autodesk), community platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, Quora, etc., and some industry-specific digital spaces. Engaging with the community means actively participating and inciting discussions online and providing support or resources whenever possible; this can be anything from helping community members learn, to connecting them with technical support, to clarifying a message, to giving them career advice. Interacting with the community means giving a face to Autodesk by humanizing the company with meaningful and helpful exchanges. Listening to the community means monitoring discussions and sentiment and coming away with actionable takeaways that address them. Responsibilities Engage with the architectural community, while being an advocate for customers within Autodesk, actively participating in meetings and share-outs representing the voice of the community Create and review technical content for accuracy in text, image, and video content across our community and social media channels Manage relationships with influencers to create content for their channels that align with our goals and values; outreach to users to develop and grow community; promote and develop creative ways to reach the audience and engage them to participate and share their experiences with us Collaborate to develop the voice and strategy for interactions over social media and external communities; ensure that we are authentically engaging with the community and actively participating in conversations where appropriate Work cross-functionally with several teams including the product and support teams, and liaise with key stakeholders; stay up to date with software and technology advancements Minimum Qualifications Experience in managing a community and in customer support Strong English writing skills Creative and in touch with the AEC community Experience in Autodesk AEC solutions BA or MA in Architecture is desirable At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
