What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at AUTOMOTIVE PARTS HEADQUARTERS?
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to showcase your ability to call on and provide services to Wholesale and non-wholesale customers. Other duties to include promoting and advancing company marketing/sales programs as appropriate and requested and developing and creating new opportunities for sales through cold calls of new customers and accounts.
JOB DUTIES:
- Call on customers per the schedule/strategy created with the Store Manager or other members of the management team
- Serve retail and wholesale customers to make Auto Value the first call for parts
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
- Conduct sales transactions with adherence to store/company policies and procedures
- Complete all related reports accurately and on time
- Participate in training programs, learning about our products, our programs and our customers
- Represent Auto Value in a professional and positive manner
- Assist other store team members as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three years of related experience and must have a thorough knowledge of the auto parts business and sales approaches
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all employees as well as customers, vendors and visitors
- Ability to function in a stressful environment, under substantial time pressure
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of desktop computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
