AutoNation is NOW HIRING a Region Recruiter to support sourcing and hiring efforts for our Southern California dealerships and Service Centers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for all stages of the recruiting process, including: partnering with Hiring Managers and decision makers on position requirements, developing sourcing strategies to target and assess talent within the market, maintaining the company's relationship with the applicant throughout the interview/ hiring process, and pitching AutoNation to prospective applicants as an employer of choice.
What You'll Do:
- Under leadership of the Talent Acquisition Team, you'll partner with dealership management teams to develop and execute recruitment and staffing strategies
- You'll collaborate with Market Presidents, General Managers, hiring managers, and Human Resources Managers in your assigned markets to develop creative sourcing solutions
- You'll establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs
- You'll develop a thorough understanding of the dealership/department culture and use that understanding to ensure the fit of the candidate to the dealership/position
- You'll maintain a network of sourcing contacts such as military organizations, colleges, and vocational schools
- You'll pre-screen applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills
- You'll maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and appropriate state statutes
- You'll maintain current knowledge of AutoNation policies and procedures pertinent to employment and hiring
- You'll perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting sources, advertising, promotions, cold calls, media, and associate referrals
- You'll track open requisitions in the applicant tracking system to move them to closure
- You'll contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection
Your Qualifications:
- You’re a self-starter and you’re able to work independently
- You have at least 2 years' recruiting experience in a retail or agency environment
- You have experience working with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), preferably iCims
- You have experience with recruiting activity/tracking management tools
- You understand the importance of protecting confidential information
- You have excellent phone skills as well as outstanding follow-up skills
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You have comprehensive knowledge of HR and EEOC policies.
- You can demonstrate expertise in MS Office suite (Excel, Power-Point, Word)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
