Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

Summary/Objective
The Window/Glass Technician diagnoses and performs glass repairs on vehicles with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer/factory standards.

Essential Functions

• • Accurately performs the necessary steps to repair and replace auto glass components to maintain vehicle safety standards
• • Provides excellent customer service
• • Ensures customer vehicles are kept clean during the repair process
• • Inspects damage, troubleshoots, and tests vehicle to determine required or recommended repairs
• • Accurately diagnose malfunctions or damage and perform the necessary repairs for them
• • Select appropriate tools, safety equipment, and parts according to job requirements
• • Install replacement glass in vehicles
• • Obtain windshields or windows for specific automobile makes and models from stock and examine them for defects prior to installation
• • Reinstall all vehicle parts that may have been removed prior to glass replacement or repair
• • Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized
• • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order in accordance with operating procedures
• • Safely and professionally operate a company fleet vehicle to and from customer locations throughout the workday
• • Fulfills all physical requirements of the job
• • Exhibits self-motivation with organizational and time management abilities
• • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• • Able to work and collaborate effectively with a team of peers as well as leadership
• • Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technology changes
• • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards; Employees are required to record the beginning and ending times of any shift, break or departure from work for personal reasons
• • Follows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
• • Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
• • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
• • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
• • Attends pertinent training on request
• • Attends company meetings as required

Skills

• • Certification in automotive glass repair and installation through the National Glass Association (NGA) is advantageous
• • Proven experience working as an auto glass technician
• • Sound knowledge of automotive glass repair and installation techniques
• • Proficiency in using power tools for automotive needs
• • Knowledgeable of various types of styles of vehicles
• • Effective communication and customer service skills
• • R&I
• • Detail-oriented
• • Experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
