Auto Body Glass Tech
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Summary/Objective
The Window/Glass Technician diagnoses and performs glass repairs on vehicles with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer/factory standards.
Essential Functions
- • Accurately performs the necessary steps to repair and replace auto glass components to maintain vehicle safety standards
- • Provides excellent customer service
- • Ensures customer vehicles are kept clean during the repair process
- • Inspects damage, troubleshoots, and tests vehicle to determine required or recommended repairs
- • Accurately diagnose malfunctions or damage and perform the necessary repairs for them
- • Select appropriate tools, safety equipment, and parts according to job requirements
- • Install replacement glass in vehicles
- • Obtain windshields or windows for specific automobile makes and models from stock and examine them for defects prior to installation
- • Reinstall all vehicle parts that may have been removed prior to glass replacement or repair
- • Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized
- • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order in accordance with operating procedures
- • Safely and professionally operate a company fleet vehicle to and from customer locations throughout the workday
- • Fulfills all physical requirements of the job
- • Exhibits self-motivation with organizational and time management abilities
- • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- • Able to work and collaborate effectively with a team of peers as well as leadership
- • Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technology changes
- • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards; Employees are required to record the beginning and ending times of any shift, break or departure from work for personal reasons
- • Follows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
- • Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
- • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
- • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
- • Attends pertinent training on request
- • Attends company meetings as required

Skills
- • Certification in automotive glass repair and installation through the National Glass Association (NGA) is advantageous
- • Proven experience working as an auto glass technician
- • Sound knowledge of automotive glass repair and installation techniques
- • Proficiency in using power tools for automotive needs
- • Knowledgeable of various types of styles of vehicles
- • Effective communication and customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
