SUMMARY
The Parts Sales Manager (PSM) assists the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance to AutoZone’s expectation. A PSM exceeds customer’s expectation by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge everyday.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must be effective supervisors with excellent communication skills, strong decision making ability, and must be able to excel in a fast paced environment. It is essential for the PSM to foster and maintain a positive environment that develops and engages their team and generates sales on a shift. PSMs should have a strong desire to become Assistant Managers.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 Assists the assistant manager and store manager in supervising store personnel
 Assists with training and developing store personnel
 Assumes responsibility for the store operation in the assistant manager and store manager’s absence, and on assigned shifts
 Delegates and ensures store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner
 Operates cash registers and follows established cash handling duties, including but not limited to deposits, petty cash and lane accountability
 Ensure all company policies, and loss prevention procedures are followed
 Utilizes ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives
 Maintains a safe working environment while ensuring AutoZoners are implementing those practices including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
 Maintain sales productivity, store appearance and merchandising standards
 Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures
 Manages emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures
 Follows proper accident procedures
 Provides feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the store manager
 Addresses customer concerns and resolves them with a goal of turning a complaint into a compliment
 Assists with management of the Commercial Department (as applicable) to ensure commercial accounts are serviced and deliveries are made as promised
 Processes returns and effectively manages inventory
 Communicates AutoZoner issues and concerns to the assistant store manager and/or store manager in a timely and confidential manner
 Motivates store AutoZoners to provide WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity level and market products to enhance sales and profits
 Adheres to and ensures AutoZoners follow AutoZone’s dress code standards
 F/T PSM - Ability to work all the hours (of operation) that we are open for business
 P/T PSM-ability to work agreed upon assigned shifts
 Ability to meet physical job aspects as listed on Essential Job Functions with or without a reasonable accommodation (listed on page 2)
 Performs other related duties as required
