AUTUMN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER

Summary:

Autumn Behavioral Health Center is in need of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Central Ohio. This person must be able to provide services to both youth and adults. Autumn Behavioral Health Center has 5 locations – Reynoldsburg, Marion, Circleville, Washington Court House and Wilmington. Depending on the preference of the PMHNP, this hybrid position can accommodate office appointments in any of our offices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete medical visits as needed.
• Diagnose patients using DSM-V process and those diagnosis regarding health and medical conditions.
• Assist with assuring that required patient information is reviewed and signature complete to health history, medical orders, medication sheets and discharges.
• Ensure all medical orders are signed as required by federal, state or local laws and regulations.
• Ensure that a medical history and physical examination are conducted for all residential patients.
• Provide assistance with medical questions and needed orders.
• Communicate and participate in patients care with nursing and clinical staff.
• Recommend appropriate referrals to patients for health care and/or treatment needs.
• Follow through with referral agencies’ prescribed treatment as appropriate with continued communication.
• Attend required meetings as requested per agency.
• Complete physician peer review / medication use review upon a regular basis.
• Complete all documentation required of services provided.

Competencies:

• Assist with the development and implementation of clinical goals.
• Familiarity with the understanding of current managed care trends as they apply to service provision in the treatment setting.
• Ability to assist individual patients to develop realistic, effective and measurable managed care goals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of assessment and diagnostic process using the DSM-V and other assessment tools.
• Demonstrate current knowledge of medications and side effects.
• Ability to maintain all requirements for licensure/credential and renewals at an appropriate time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Qualifications and Experience Must be a licensed CNP in the State of Ohio.

• Should have at least two years of experience as a PMHNP
• CPR and First Aid trained.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Skills/Abilities The ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to write clear, concise, accurate notes, and compliance with all local/state/federal laws and standards of confidentiality.

• Must have the necessary skills and abilities required to comfortably and effectively work with patients, being responsive to their needs.

Pay: From $75.00 per hour
