Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled talented Banquet Chef to join our team. The Banquet Chef will be responsible for handling the cold/dry food production for banquets and events, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation are met. In addition to your culinary skills, you will also need to have excellent organizational skills. This position must be able to assist multiple events simultaneously. Have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, as well as able to work well under pressure. Duties:
- Review banquet event orders (BEO) daily and make note to changes
- Assist the Executive Chef in food/supply ordering
-Able to handle and operate the kitchen/cooking in absence of Executive Chef
- Able to coordinate banquet production and plating with Executive Chef, Sales Manager, Banquet Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to food safety standards and practices.
- Establish the day's priorities and then complete production and preparation for each event
- Able to plan and execute multiple events with the Executive Chef
-Able to perform other duties as assigned by the management
-Responsible for regular cleaning of all equipment used in the kitchen
-Work with the Executive Chef on correct pricing of the menu to achieve budgeted percentages
Skills:
- Proven experience in banquet or catering setting.
-Organization skills
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
