CTL Support Specialist
Avalon Risk Management, a national insurance broker specializing in the transportation industry, is looking for someone with strong organizational skills for our new Combined Transit Liability (CTL) Support Specialist opportunity. The Support Specialist will contribute to the success of our Professional Liability underwriting team located in our new headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
We are interested in candidates with at least 5 years of professional data entry/management experience in a detail-oriented position. Our opportunity requires excellent database navigation, Excel, Outlook, and Word skills. Clear communication skills, including grammar and spelling strengths, must be demonstrated. In this role, the Support Specialist works with our underwriting team creating Excel rating sheets, organizing underwriting submissions, running reports, and creating policy documents. We need a team member who can use their excellent organizational and computer skills to maintain underwriting submissions, generate reports, and (with training) be proactive in addressing accuracy.
Some of the specific responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Handle and/or assist with rating, policy issuance, change endorsements, filings, policy renewals, and/or termination requests.
- Coordinate with Avalon offices to gather information for requested coverage.
- Maintain accurate policy information and files.
- Assist in preparation for monthly renewals, non-renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements as assigned.
- Within our underwriting system, process endorsements, print policies, run loss reports, etc. as requested or required.
- Review submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program guidelines.
While preference will be given to those who have worked directly in the transportation and logistics industry (freight forwarder, customs house brokers, etc), Avalon has a successful track record as a company of hiring skilled professionals and training them in our unique corner of insurance.
