JD- Customer Service Technical Content Author
Location : Woodridge, IL (Day 1 Onsite )
Solid understanding of US English, including grammar and spelling.
Experienced Information Developer/Technical Writer with more than 4 years of experience
At least 2 years of writing/editing, technical illustration experience or automotive/truck support experience
Hands-on experience with developing customer service documentation
Adhere to the Navistar style guidelines, and standards of accuracy
Writing documents, validation of content, and editing work for publication
Independently gather information from technical and non-technical Subject Matter Experts to organize, develop, and write technical service content
Routinely interpret various source information which may include procedural mark-ups, engineering drawings, parts lists, draft assembly, and maintenance instructions
Adapt to production and environmental changes, and editorial processes
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and interface with many personalities
Develop draft illustration to support procedural/descriptive text using model file or existing artwork
Familiarity with the automotive or trucking industry
Knowledge of Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical terms used in Automotive or trucking industry
Experience with service tools and its specifications used for vehicle servicing
Good understanding of Agile environment & alignment to Agile writing principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
To work with cross-functional Teams
Knowledge of XML and DITA XML authoring using PTC Arbortext Editor
Work to improve the content and appearance of customer documentation continuously
Achieve expert product knowledge to produce quality materials and high-level technical solutions being developed
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in providing automation solution for Arbortext as per customer’s requirement
Development of appropriate documentation to support technical publication manuals
The candidate must have bachelor’s degree in engineering
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
