Description
The Lead Jira Analyst works as a Jira administrator and provides end user support to teams that use Jira for resource and capacity planning, financial planning, portfolio, program, project, and product management. The Lead Jira Analyst is responsible for maintaining Jira application configuration, user access, reporting, integrations as well as providing end user support and training.
Knowledge & Experience
- 8 years IT and/or Business experience in Business Analyst or similar role
- 8 years working with internal clients and/or external agencies/partners
- 5 years of experience with JIRA administration
- 3 years’ experience with Jira (Mandatory)
- Expert in JIRA functionalities and capabilities
- Deep understanding of JIRA Issue Framework
- Experience with creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex JIRA workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
- Experience with implementing and training on JIRA and JIRA Agile best practices, custom dashboards, and custom reports
- Very good knowledge of SDLC and experience working with Agile teams
- Familiar with Scaled Agile, DevOps, Scrum and Kanban frameworks

o Jira Service Project Administrator
o Agile at Scale
o Jira DevOps
- Agile certifications: (Preferred)
o SAFe 5.0 “Leading Safe/Scrum Master/Product Owner”
o Scrum.org (PSM/PSPO/PSK)
o Scurmalliance.org (CSM/CPO/CSP)
Essential Functions
- Application Governance: develop and enforce application governance for example and not limited to a) user accounts retention policy. b) application usage. c) data retention policy d) application access e) instance management. F) Jira standardization.
- User Management: a) User creation/activation/disabling. B) Work with stakeholder to understand their needs and propose right solution.
- Application Integration: Maintain and support integrating Jira with other apps and control of Jira plug-ins.
- Application Configuration Management: Maintain and document all application configuration like and not limited to a) Custom fields. B) Application features
- Application customization: Work with Agile process owners on implementing scaled agile frameworks like SAFe 5.0 or higher inside Jira like the design of Agile Requirements Model.
- Agile Metrics and Dashboards: Maintain and develop custom agile metrics / dashboards / boards / reports and help define Agile Metrics.
- Application Support: Provide full support for end users to resolve their application issues.
- Application Training: Training end users using role-based training on how to get the best of Jira, be able to develop training materials.
Incidental Functions
- Prepare and lead presentations as requested
- Research or prototype new tools and/or technologies
- Assist with other projects as necessary to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the teamwork
- Lead internal teams/task forces on initiatives as assigned
