To co-ordinate the activities of a team of Field Supervisors and external contracting staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operational management of ScottishPower Renewables' (SPR) wind farm portfolio by acting as the responsible Area Supervisor for a designated Area within the SPR portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
As the Area Supervisor you’ll manage the quality control of all output data from WTG and Infrastructure safety/technical inspections and audits, ensuring appropriate recording and allocation of associated actions.
Daily you’ll co-ordinate the required internal and external resources to ensure thorough project Infrastructure safety/technical inspections and audits are performed against KPI targets for sites within allocated areas. You’ll be the initial point of escalation for all non-routine issues identified by Field Supervisors within allocated Area and manage\co-ordinate Area resources to find an effective resolution.
Assist in the identification of new, and development of existing, site-specific, and group-wide operating procedures & policies as defined by the Area Manager, liaise with internal/external stakeholders including landowners, emergency services, local authorities and other key external stakeholders · Manage the development and implementation of a 24/7 on-call rota to ensure required level of response.
You’ll Analyse performance reporting tools\system data to identify technical issues\trends which may impact on project operational performance and co-ordinate delivery of actions to resolve with the Area Manager. Generate formal KPI output data to support management reporting in accordance with ISO:9001 management system requirements and to support external contract performance management and co-ordinate Field Supervisor activities to achieve delivery of the required level of Wind Turbine Preventative\Corrective Maintenance Supervision and Local Operation.
Reviewing and validate all contractor Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Plans for all sites within allocated area, leading negotiations on amendments to these plans. Managing effective dynamic (weekly\daily) scheduling and delivery of annual preventative maintenance plans for all projects
What you’ll bring
You’ll come with sound knowledge of electro-mechanical generating plant and apparatus· Educated to HNC, or appropriate City & Guilds level (or equivalent in either an electrical or mechanical discipline) or equivalent transferable practical experience.
You’ll be experienced on Control Management Instruction and applicable regulations and OPEX and CAPEX budgets for allocated sites on an annual basis and support updates to forecasts in accordance with business reporting calendars. Experience in resource Planning and Scheduling in the development and tracking of financial budgets.
Be confident to make sound decisions and provide guidance to Field Supervisors in both routine and emergency circumstances to provide safety to personnel, plant and apparatus.
Previous Windfarm technician/supervision experience desirable.
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications as a minimum, as well as familiarity with SCADA systems.
