In this role, you will report to the Supervisor of Site Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Shift: Mon - Fri, 6:30 am - 3 pm (some flexibility with start and end times)
Location: 3065 Bowers Ave., Santa Clara, California, 95054
Wage: $19.50 per hour
What we’re looking for
· Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
· Experience: Some experience in material handling, inventory replenishment, and/or customer service required
· Qualifications:
o Previous experience working in a GMP facility desired
o Able to lift 50lbs required

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. This position is an entry level position; responsible for carrying out routine tasks at a customer site, all of which can include: Receiving (Laundry carts), point of use replenishment (Laundry), Garment inspection, and allocation of hanger spaces within customer gown rooms. In this role you will:
Collect used garments
Inspect used garments to identify any damage prior to shipment
Collection of usage data at point of use and adding it to tracking log
Receive inbound shipments from common carriers
May be required to travel to customer sites
Inspect any damaged garments being returned as truly damaged items.
Perform daily inspections of inventory & soil bins checks to avoid overflow
Map out garment locations for training aids
Be the point person for any garment issues or concerns
Other duties as assigned.
