IN THIS ROLE:
This is a full-time and salaried blended position for human resources, payroll and benefits. In this role, you’ll be responsible for HR activities such as recruiting, onboarding, record maintenance, benefits enrollment, payroll support and other initiatives or projects as needed. In this role you will be under the direction of the Financial Controller and company President.
You will be responsible for:
PAYROLL
- Software experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Payroll, or equivalent required
- Ensuring that the bi-weekly payroll process is completed (exempt and non-exempt)
- Update payroll data such as employee changes
- Processes yearly and monthly bonus incentives as part of payroll processing.
- Processes garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, quarterly tax verifications, third party sick pay and worker compensation reports
- Performs monthly and year end responsibilities, including third party sick pay, 1099 and W-2 verification
HUMAN RESOURCES AND BENEFITS
- Implement and update new policies, procedures, and strategies designed to engage and retain talent
- Lead the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing phone interviews, reference checks, and issuing employment offers
- Advise leadership on all matters relating to HR
- Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
- Assist with performance management procedures, such as employee reviews
- Administer health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations
- Process required documents through ADP Workforce and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions
- Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Effectively interprets State and Federal laws pertaining to employee program regulations, tax changes, Family Medical Leave Act, COBRA, HSA’s, Freedom of Information Act, etc.
- Responds to employment verifications regarding previous employees and provides appropriate information to authorized persons
- Helps to ensure that activities of management and staff are compliant with all Federal and State employment laws and regulations

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- HR certification strongly preferred
- Ability to work in humid and hot conditions
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce or similar HR or payroll software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
