What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at AvCarb Material Solutions?
Due to the significant growth of our company, we have an opportunity available for a Quality Control Technician to support the testing and approval of raw materials and finished product.
Functional Responsibilities
- Provides preliminary evaluation of materials against initial drawings or diagrams, design modification, or testing to support product development
- Documents activity outcomes including test results, and tracks performance improvements on production material
- Ensures successful implementation of continuous improvement projects related to inspection equipment within areas of functional specialty
- Communicates with cross-departmental colleagues to establish long- and short-term testing priorities
- Adheres to established safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment
Job Related Responsibilities
- Performs testing of physical and electrical properties of fabric, felt, and paper materials
- Performs visual inspection of manufactured goods
- Performs analytical evaluation(s) of materials against documented requirements and standards and test procedures
- Identifies and controls material which does not meet the stated requirements
- Responsible for completion of documentation to support objective evidence of material status and acceptance
Qualifications
- Relevant technology diploma or trade certification, 3 to 7 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination or equivalent work experience
- Fork Truck Experience
- Trained in areas of quality evaluation techniques such as the use of gauges, test methods, and equipment to support material characterization and acceptance
- Functional knowledge of data entry using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel) and ERP system(s)
- Trained in the applicable Quality operating procedures and instructions related to ISO-9001 quality standards and requirements or equivalent current quality requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.25 - $32.31 per hour
