OPERATIONS MANAGER
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the Institute Director in the Director’s absence.
- Partner with the Director to cultivate an environment where employees respect and adhere to the company core values of quality, integrity, and ownership thinking by integrating these values into all programs and practices, developing consequences for non-compliance, and supporting an Open-Door Policy.
- Partner with Director to effectively manage revenue sales and expenses (payroll, supplies) to achieve specified revenue and expense goals and retail and service benchmarks.
- Partner with Director to plan and grow the Institute as a profitable business while reinforcing the mission and education standards as established by Aveda.
- Monitor education delivery to ensure compliance with the implementation of the Aveda curriculum, and the achievement of student outcomes (completion, licensure, and placement) exceed the company standards.
- Partner with Director to implement and model customer service standards by ensuring unparalleled excellence in institute and retail standards, enhanced customer service experience and creating an environment that exceeds customer service expectations that are aligned with guest expectations and company goals.
- Partner with Director to ensure the Institute operational systems, processes and policies are consistently implemented according to company standards.
- Partner with Director to create a student learning experience within an environment that is guest and student focused, which demonstrates adaptability and sponsors continuous learning.
- Partner with Director to ensure the institute campus is always presented in original “like new” condition, through the development and implementation of an effective maintenance plan, weekly “walk-throughs” and responsiveness to unforeseen situations as required.

General:
- Work in accordance with the Aveda Mission Statement; adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Manage expenses within fiscal guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience
- Must be motived and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have good follow-up skills.
- Be willing to assist all team members and able to prioritize workflow.
- Excellent computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Goal driven and proactive.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel as needed.
