Description
Reporting to the Head of Purchasing Operation, we seek a highly motivated, innovative leader to join us as a warehouse operation manager to develop and manage current warehouse management and 3PL Solutions organization. The role will be based out of our Menlo Park, CA headquarters. You will be responsible for supporting the rapid growth of Avellino Lab’s Warehousing and 3PL Operations by developing processes, system, transportation, and order management solutions that address the needs of Avellino Lab’s internal and external customers while ensuring we maintain biotech supply chain compliance and reducing the risk. This position will be managing the warehouse team and fleet team in all facilities
Requirements
Manages, executes, and supports the Warehouse Network, 3PL operations, and geographical expansion by developing and standardizing systems, processes, and SOP’s • Leads projects to support warehouse initiatives, such as continuous process improvement and risk mitigation • Forecasts and budgets operations spend for warehouse operation activities and needs
• Manage Operating and maintaining our delivery vehicle to specific route destinations • Support Director of Procurement to develop, implement, manage and maintain robust inbound and outbound cold-supply-chain processes while maintaining high-value biopharmaceutical material and product integrity and Chain of Custody / Chain of Identity • Initiates and owns deviations, initiates SCARS, and remediate service issues related to 3PL operations and Transportation • Continue to support Head of Purchasing Ops to Develop, obtain approval, and implements effective warehouse and logistics strategies to achieve corporate goals • Identifies, initiates and manages cross-functional projects using appropriate project management expertise and methodologies • Maintain assigned vital performance measures related to Warehouse and Material Management Operation for the 3PL and Network • Supports shipping and transport validation and qualification of Raw materials, WIP, and Product • Manages and supports root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for Transportation, 3PL Operations, Warehouse deviations, and exceptions • Partners collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals related to multiple projects
• Enforces the corporate compliance as it pertains to Receipt, storage, and transportation of raw material, make items (WIP) and commercial product
• Accountable for reporting quarterly KPIs and metrics and implementation of process improvement system
• Mentors, coaches, and develops Logistics and Warehouse Operational personnel
• Receive, unload and deliver deliveries of designated materials to internal customers through designated facilities
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle, reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
• Manage touch freight – unloading using a manual and electric pallet jack and handcart
• Support warehouse operation team to receive and unload incoming materials and verify the accuracy of the shipment with the purchase order, packing list/bills of lading as well as inspecting for damaged goods
• Delivery of items to requisitioner promptly on time
• Prepare items for outgoing shipment of the internal warehouse system
• Work with co-workers to resolve any shipment discrepancies and returns.
• Support to prepare and maintain logs, monthly reports, inventory reports, and any projects as needed
• Maintain perfect, accurate inventory/delivery accuracy
• Prepare, package and ship requested packages per DOT / IATA guidelines (to include hazardous materials, international shipping, etc.)
