What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud DevOps Solutions Architect position at AVER, LLC?

The Cloud DevOps Solutions Architect will be responsible for bridging the gaps between complex business problems and solutions in the cloud.  The solution architect is expected to support the design, development, and deployment of cloud solutions across the enterprise, including continuously building and enhancing foundational cloud capabilities, enabling process automation, and supporting cloud deployment processes and best practices.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of technology and engineering experience
  • 3 years as Solution Architect possessing AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure components (network, compute, storage, load balancers) and how Infrastructure should best be leveraged.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker containerization and development of DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
  • Experience in developing and deploying Policy as Code (PaC) solutions.
  • Experience with GitOps to manage infrastructure and application code deployments.
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible)
  • Experience with cybersecurity, enterprise security and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent technical writing skills combined with the ability to rapidly assimilate technical documents and prepare technical roadmaps and ‘bottom-line first’ briefing material for presentation to senior leadership.

Desired Requirements:

  • Certification in AWS and/or Azure is desired, but not required.
  • Active Department of Homeland Security clearance (EOD)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Security Requirements:

  • US citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
